Visas to Israel

Israel has visa exemption agreements with many countries (for visits of up to 90 days). To find out whether you require a visa to Israel, please consult the web page of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://mfa.gov.il/MFA/ConsularServices/Pages/default.aspx

Individuals that require to obtain a visa can be offered an invitation letter from the conference organizers. The invitation letter can be provided to attendees who (i) are authors or co-authors of papers or posters to be presented at ….., and (ii) have successfully registered for the conference.

Flights
International flights land at the Ben Gurion Intl. Airport (TLV) near Tel Aviv. The airport is 12 miles (20 km) southeast of Tel Aviv. Local time in Israel is GMT + 2 hours.
Note: Some airport and public transportation services are limited on the Sabbath, between Friday from about 5:30 P.M. to Saturday at 6:30 P.M.

Airport Procedures

Security checks when arriving and departing may at times include questions regarding the purpose of visit. Carrying a letter, which includes the phone number of a local contact, may assist in expediting the process. If you wish to obtain such a letter, please contact the conference secretary Suzie Eid.
